Select the telephone line to which you wish to connect the jack. This most often is line one, but you may also wish to connect your telephone jack to line two or three.

5
Cut any corroded or worn ends from the tip and ring wire of the telephone line to which you wish to connect. Strip the insulation from the last quarter inch on the end of the wire. Wrap the bare wire for the ring wire around terminal A and wrap the bare wire for the tip wire around terminal B. Tighten the terminal screws for these two terminals to hold the wires in place.
