How to Make a Mail Backup With AOL 9.5

AOL 9.5 is an email program that allows you to send and receive emails directly from your desktop. This program automatically connects with the AOL server for this purpose. Copies of the AOL emails that you send and receive are stored as Personal Filing Cabinet (PFC) files on your computer. You can back up these PFC files to use later on if needed for restoring lost, corrupted or accidentally deleted emails.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Mail" menu on the AOL 9.5 window and then click the "Mail Settings" option.

    • 2

Select the "Manage Saved Mail" from the drop-down box and then choose the "Backup" option.

    • 3

Select the "Backup Now" button and then choose "Save."
