If you would like to create a custom calendar for your home or office, you can print a calendar template and write on it. Use different colors of pens, markers or colored pencils to signal important dates -- such as family birthdays, anniversaries and dates when bills are due. It will help you be more responsible and organized if you customize a calendar and glance at it every day.
Things You'll Need
- Computer paper
- Colored pencils
Click the green "Start" menu button on your desktop. It is located at the bottom left-hand side of your screen.
Click through this pattern: "All Programs," to "Microsoft Office," to "Microsoft Word." Once a new document opens up for you, click the "Office Button" followed by "New."
Double-click "Calendars" from the list of templates provided on the menu. Select the year of your calendar by double-clicking on one of the links listed. Scroll through the styles of calendars. Once you have decided on one, double-click the icon. Microsoft will download that calendar onto your screen.
Print your calendar. Click the "Office Button," followed by "Print" and "OK."
Gather markers, colored pencils and pens of different colors. Assign one color to each type of date. For example, birthdays can be blue, anniversaries can be purple, dentist appointments can be orange and bill due dates can be red.
Write appointments, times and contact phone numbers directly into the boxes of the blank calendar.
