How to Add Multiple Gmail With Android

Internet-connected smartphones and tablets running Android can connect to Gmail accounts to sync mail, contacts and calendars and download applications from the Android market. You can set an Android device to sync with more than one Gmail account by adding each Gmail account in the device's settings menu. The first Gmail account you add to your Android device is the primary Gmail account and can only be removed by completely resetting the device.

  • Press the "Menu" button from your Android device's home screen, and tap "Settings."

  • Tap "Accounts & sync"; then tap the "Add account" button at the bottom of the screen.

  • Tap "Google" to add a new Gmail account. Tap "Next"; then tap "Sign in." Enter the username and password for your primary Gmail account, and tap "Sign in."

  • Tap "Finish setup"; then tap the "Add Account" button to set up another Gmail account. Continue adding accounts until you have set up all of the accounts you want to sync with your Android device.

Tips & Warnings

  • To remove a secondary Gmail account from your Android device, tap the name of the account on the "Accounts & Sync" screen and tap the "Remove account" button.
