How to Register a Visa Account
Hundreds of different banks offer Visa cards to customers. You can register your Visa card with the issuing bank by visiting the bank's website. Registering your card provides you with account benefits such as the ability to view your account, pay your bill online and check your balance. The process of registering your Visa card online takes just a few minutes.

Go to the website of the bank that issued your credit card. Locate the log in link on the homepage and select the option that allows you to register, or sign up for online account access.

Enter your name, address, email and contact information. Provide your credit card number, expiration date and the three-digit security code located on the back of the card. Choose a user name and password.

Confirm the information you provided before you submit your registration. Submit your registration and view your account.

Use your new Visa online account by transferring balances from higher interest cards, enrolling in paperless billing and/or viewing your credit limits, purchases and payment history all in one place.

Registering your Visa allows you to make your payments online. Banks let card holders make one-time payments online with your checking account or create automatic payments.
Some banks offer Visa cards that come with personalized alerts once you register your card. Personalized alerts let you know when your payment is due, when your payment posts to your account and even when your balance is close to your credit limit.
