How to Get Twitter on the Samsung Caliber

Use your Samsung Caliber phone to send updates to Twitter.

When you join the social-networking and microblogging site Twitter, you can send, receive and read updates from other Twitter users on any cell phone with a Web browser and Internet connection, including the Samsung Caliber. To get Twitter on your Samsung Caliber, sign up and add your cell phone to your Twitter account. Because the Samsung Caliber features Internet access with full HTML browsing, you can send and receive updates --- also called "tweets" --- via text message or Twitter's mobile site.

Instructions

1. Go to Mobile.Twitter.com on your Samsung Caliber cell phone to set up a Twitter account.

2. Click the "Sign Up Now" button on the Twitter homepage.

3. Enter your full name, desired Twitter username, email address, password and CAPTCHA code in the corresponding form fields, then click the "Create My Account" button.

4. Send a text message with the word "START" to your Twitter short code. For example, the Twitter short code for the United States is "40404." These codes vary by country.

5. Wait for Twitter to send you a text message requesting your username. Reply to the text with your Twitter username.

6. Wait for Twitter to send you a text message requesting your password. Reply to the text with your exact password.

7. Send a text with the word "OK" when Twitter asks you to confirm that you want to use Twitter on your phone.

Tips & Warnings

• Send tweets to your Twitter profile and friends by texting your message to your Twitter short code. You can also send tweets from the Mobile.Twitter.com homepage by typing them in the "What's Happening" box and clicking the "Tweet" button.
