How to Straighten the Horizon In Photoshop
A slight tilt in your hand while taking a picture will capture the horizon at an odd angle and can adversely affect an image's composition. Fortunately, Photoshop CS5 includes a "straighten" option that quickly levels a slanted image. The "straighten" command is part of the "Ruler" tool, and Photoshop will automatically rotate and crop the image to correct the problem.

Tips & Warnings
To crop the image manually, select "Edit", "Undo". Then select the "Crop" tool, and click and drag to draw the bounding box. Click and drag the corners of the bounding box to adjust it, and then double-click in the box to crop the image.
Holding down the "Alt" key in Windows or the "Option" key in Mac OS when you click the "Straighten" button will prevent the automatic cropping function.
