How to Delete the Config on a Belkin Router

Belkin produces a wide series of routers with different capabilities for home and small business environments. Belkin offers both wired and wireless routers that have different speed ranges. Belkin routers have a Web-based user interface you can use to configure individual settings and increase security for the network. You can delete the config on a Belkin router and start fresh by using the "Reset" button.

      Press and hold the "Reset" button on the back of the router.

      Disconnect the power cord from the router after 30 seconds while continuing to hold the "Reset" button in.

      Reconnect the router while continuing to hold the "Reset" button in.

      Release the button after 30 seconds.

      Wait approximately 60 seconds for the router to delete the configuration, then proceed with the default factory settings through the Belkin router's Web interface. Refer to the router's documentation for details.

  • This process erases all settings and passwords on the router and returns the router to its default factory software configuration.
