How to Connect a Pyle Home PDIWS 12-Inch Subwoofer to a Receiver
The Pyle PDIWS 12-inch subwoofer is a passive 8-ohm subwoofer, designed for in-wall mounting. Passive subwoofers do not have their own amplification built-in, but rely on the power of an external amplifier, supplying signal to the subwoofer via speaker wire. Connecting the subwoofer to an amplifier is no different in practice than the normal wiring of a home speaker to an amplifier, and can be accomplished quickly.
Instructions

1
Lay out a length of speaker wire that's long enough to reach from your amplifier location to the mounting location of the subwoofer. Cut the wire to length with your wire cutters.
-
2
Pull the two leads on the ends of the wire apart with your fingers. Remove about 1/2 of an inch of insulation from the ends of each of the speaker wire leads with a set of wire strippers.

3
Grasp the positive speaker wire lead at the subwoofer end of the speaker wire -- this lead can be identified by the + marks on the lead's insulation. Push down on the red terminal on the back of the subwoofer until a hole appears in the terminal post. Insert the end of the wire into the opening and release the terminal to clamp the wire. Repeat this process, using the other lead and the black terminal on the subwoofer.

Grasp the positive speaker wire lead at the amplifier end of the speaker wire and push down on the red terminal marked SPKR on the back of the amplifier until a hole appears in the terminal post. Insert the end of the wire into the opening and release the terminal to clamp the wire. Repeat this process, using the other lead and the black SPKR terminal on the amplifier.

Tips & Warnings
Use a subwoofer amplifier as your power source for the speaker -- it's designed to send the speaker the low frequencies it's designed to handle.
