How to Make an Origami Bag
Origami is the art of creating crafts by folding pieces of paper. When folds are combined in a specific order the crafter can create many objects, from a swan to a gift box. An origami bag is a simple craft project that allows you to create a small hand bag from a single piece of origami paper. Although construction of many origami crafts requires only paper and the crafter's hands, making the origami bag also requires scissors.

1
Place the paper down white-side up then fold one corner over to its opposite corner, creating a triangle.
-
2
Position the long side of the triangle as the bottom edge of the triangle, then grab the top point of the top half of the folded triangle and fold it down so the point touches the bottom of the large triangle. This will divide the large triangle into three smaller, colored triangles, with a white triangle in the middle of them. Fold the small white triangle back up again so you have one large triangle.

-
3
Fold the bottom left corner in to create another triangle, with the highest edge of the triangle running along the crease formed in the prior step, then repeat for the bottom right corner. This creates a pentagon with uneven sides.
-
4
Flip the paper over, so the folds are facing down, then fold the pentagon in half so that the prior folds are facing out on both sides.
-
5
Cut a line parallel to the upper left side of the folded shape, approximately 1/2 inch from the edge of the paper.
-
6
Unfold the prior fold, creating a pentagon again. The prior cut will have created a V-shaped cut in both halves of the paper.
-
7
Grab the point of the V for the half of paper currently facing up, and fold down, creating a crease between the two points making the top of the V.
-
8
Turn the pentagon over and repeat for the second half of paper to complete the bag.
