You probably visit many websites on the Internet, but have several that you visit on a regular basis. Instead of entering these websites' URLs each time, save time by creating a favorites shortcut on your Mozilla Firefox Web browser that provides easy access to your sites right from Firefoxe's menu bar. The terminology Mozilla Firefox uses to save a favorite website is called bookmarking.

Instructions

      Launch Firefox and enter the URL for the website you want to bookmark. Alternatively, simply navigate your browser to the website you want to bookmark.

      Press "Ctrl" and "D." The "Edit this bookmark" window opens.

      Enter a title for your bookmark menu in the "Name" field. To place the bookmark into a folder, click the folder drop-down and choose the folder. To create a new folder, click the down arrow next to the folder drop-down to show more details, and click the "New Folder" button. Enter your folder name into the highlighted name field.

      Click "Done." Your bookmark is now saved and can be accessed from the "Bookmarks" menu on Firefox.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also click on the star icon in the Firefox URL field to add an immediate bookmark, or

  • select the "Bookmark" menu and choose "Bookmark This Page." Fill in the "Name" and "Folder" fields and press "Done."
