How to Be a K9 Officer

Most police departments have a K9 unit that pairs canine officers with a human officer. K9 units can be invaluable when apprehending a suspect or recognizing the presence of contraband. For people who have a desire to be a police officer as well as a love and respect for canines, a position as a K9 officer is an excellent way to combine the two. Becoming a K9 officer takes years of hard work and dedication.
