How to Block Websites on Firefox That Include Porn

Firefox is a free Web browser from Mozilla that supports add-ons, which are applications that can be installed onto the browser. A variety of add-on types are available, including security apps, and are cross-platform due to their being installed on the Firefox browser itself instead of the operating system. Website blocking add-ons are available, some of which are specifically designed to block any website it recognizes as containing pornography.

Instructions

1. Visit the Firefox add-on website at addon.mozilla.com. Search for website blocking applications with a porn-blocking feature, such as FoxFilter, ProCon Latte Content Filter or Ant-Porn.

2. Click "Download." The add-on will automatically be recognized as a Firefox app. An add-on window will appear. Click "Install." You'll be prompted to restart the browser when installation is complete. Click "Restart."

3. Configure the add-on if necessary. An add-on that blocks porn websites will automatically prevent the browser from accessing a website that it identifies as containing porn, but may allow you to set a strictness level or manually add specific websites.
