NetZero subscribers can synchronize their email account with Outlook.

NetZero was once a free Internet and email provider, but in recent years it has expanded its Internet service offerings to include dial-up and DSL broadband access. NetZero users who pay for dial-up or broadband access also receive an email account that can be accessed from desktop email clients, such as Microsoft Outlook. You can set up desktop access to NetZero email through your Outlook email application.

Instructions

      Purchase NetZero HiSpeed, Platinum or DSL Internet access. You must subscribe to one of these options to access NetZero email through Outlook.

      Open the Microsoft Outlook email application.

      Click "File" in the menu bar, then click "Info" and click "Account Settings" twice.

      Navigate to the "Email" tab, click "New," then click "Email Account." Click the "Next" button.

      Click the "Manually Configure Server Settings" check box and click "Next."

      Click "Internet Email" and click "Next."

      Click the "POP3" check box and click "Next."

      Type your name and NetZero email address into the fields under the User Information heading.

      Type the following in the Incoming Mail Server field:

      pop.netzero.com

      Type the following in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field:

      authsmtp.netzero.com

      Type your NetZero username and password in the appropriate fields under the Logon Information heading.

      Click the "Remember Password" check box to save your NetZero password in Outlook. Click "Next" and "Finish."

      Press the "F9" key to synchronize your NetZero and Outlook inboxes and send outgoing mail through your NetZero account.
