How to Back up OS X Server Before an Upgrade

Mac OS X Server is produced by Apple as a separate operating system based on the Mac OS X client version included with all new Macintosh computers. Mac OS X Server features built-in backup software introduced with version 10.5 Leopard in 2007. A complete backup of the operating system, including all user accounts and configuration settings, is saved with a Time Machine backup. You can back up a Mac OS X server before performing an upgrade by using Time Machine to preserve the system configuration.
