How to Get Skype for the HTC HD2

The HTC HD2 phone includes a 4.3-inch display screen and Windows Mobile operating system (OS), both of which are ideal for the Skype application. Use Skype to talk with friends and family members who have a Skype account. This application also allows you to make regular landline and mobile phone calls along with long distance calls. To call friends and family, you need to use Skype Credit or a subscription plan. Installing this application on your phone takes minutes.

Instructions

1. Plug the USB cable in the bottom of your HTC phone. Insert the other end into your computer's available USB port.

2. Launch the Skype website on your computer. Click the "Download" button. Save the ".cab" file to your phone's HTC storage card.

3. Disconnect your HTC phone from your computer.

4. Press the "Start" button on your phone. Touch "Programs" and "Open File Explorer."

5. Tap "Storage Card" from the list of options. Launch the Skype .cab file. Click on the "Install Application" option.

6. Turn off your HTC phone. Wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. Press the "Start" button and click "Programs." Launch the Skype program to use it.
