How Can I Make a Bullet Into a Necklace?
If you have a bullet casing that you found on the ground --- or brought home from a war-torn country --- then you can transform something that was meant to destroy into something that signifies meaningful beauty. By wrapping a bullet casing in jewelry wire, you can create a simple pendant that slips easily onto a metal necklace chain.

1
Unroll about 5 inches of jewelry wire, the gauge and color of your choice. Snip off the end from the spool with a pair of jewelry wire cutters.
-
2
Place the bullet casing at the end of the wire. Curve the wire tightly around the base of the bullet, rolling the wire strands one on top of the other as you turn the bullet. Roll the wire around the base until it covers about one-third of the casing.

3
Straighten the remaining wire so that it is pointed upward. Bend the wire down so that it forms a loop. Twist the end of the wire at the base of the loop several times to tighten the hold.
-
4
Slip a metal necklace chain through the metal loop.
