How to Disable Quicktime on Firefox on a Mac

Apple's QuickTime Player for Mac OS X users includes a Mozilla Firefox browser plug-in enabling users to play audio, movies and other media on the Internet. The QuickTime plug-in may have been automatically installed when you downloaded the Firefox browser, or you may have set QuickTime as your default online video player using Firefox's add-on or plug-in functions. This can be disabled using Firefox's "Add-On" manager. You can also disassociate QuickTime from opening Firefox downloads by resetting your Firefox download preferences, based on specific file types.
