Creating a Loctite thread lock is simple and fast but there are a few crucial details you must bear in mind when working with any of the Loctite sealants. 1
Wipe down both sides of the joint with a cleaning cloth and solvent. Make sure you work the solvent into the threads on each side to remove any oils or dirt that could interfere with the lock.
-
2
Put on rubber gloves and shake the bottle of Loctite vigorously. Turn the bottle right side up and carefully remove the cover. Be sure not to squeeze the bottle as you remove the cover or the product inside will come out.

3
Hold the application tip of the Loctite bottle directly over the threads to be locked. The tip shouldn't be touching the threads but held slightly elevated from it.
-
4
Squeeze three small drops of Loctite onto both parts of the joint then fit the pieces together. Tighten the joint together by hand and allow the Loctite to dry for several minutes before putting any pressure on the joint.

Tips & Warnings
Sealing joints can be done in the same way as threads just use a full circle of Loctite all around the area to be sealed.
Do not use more than a few drops of Loctite in one area or the metal can be compromised and could wear down.
