How to Turn Off Nero Scout

You can turn off Nero Scout through its "Options" feature. Nero Scout is designed to assist in the management of media files when using the Nero software application but if you don't use it, it can use resources such as memory you may want to save for other applications. In addition, it offers a search function, but your operating system may already have one. If you don't need Nero Scout, turning it off is a simple process.

Instructions

1. Click "Start" and then click "Computer."

2. Right-click the "Nero Scout" icon.

3. Click "Options."

4. Remove the check mark next to "Enable Nero Scout."

5. Remove the check mark next to "Show Nero Desktop Search" and click "OK." Reboot the computer.
