How to Convert RAR to CBZ
CBZ files are zipped directories of images -- typically comic book or Japanese manga pages -- that can be read using comic book reader applications such as Comical or Comics Book Reader. Some e-book readers, such as the Amazon Kindle, natively support viewing of CBZ files. A RAR file full of image files can be converted to CBZ by "un-raring" and then zipping the directory.
The file extension on the zipped directory must be changed afterwards, so if file extensions aren't visible on your system, you'll need to first change the extension visibility preference in the "Folder Options" window.
Things You'll Need
- File compression utility that supports RAR (such as 7-Zip, WinRAR or WinZip)

Creating a CBZ File from a RAR
-
5
Uncompress the RAR file. Utilities that support RAR files are available on the Internet; 7-Zip, WinRAR and WinZip are three tools that can uncompress RAR files. The images will unpack in a new directory.
-
6
Open the directory of newly unpacked image files.
-
7
Click and drag the mouse pointer to select all image files that you wish to include in the CBZ file.
-
8
Right-click on any selected image file and select "Send to" and "Compressed (zipped) folder" from the contextual menu. A zip file including all the image files that you selected will appear.
-
9
Enter a name for the newly created zip file.
-
10
Change the file extension of the zip file from .zip to .cbz. The file can now be read by compatible e-book readers or comic book reading programs.
