How to Update Hyperlink Path in PowerPoint

In the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010 application, hyperlinks may be updated with a new path if the location of the source file changes. PowerPoint 2010's hyperlink editing capabilities are integrated with the PowerPoint themes and other components so editing and updating hyperlinks in PowerPoint may be confusing to some users. To update hyperlinks in a PowerPoint, use functions in both the right-click menu and the Microsoft PowerPoint navigation ribbon.

      Right-click on the PowerPoint presentation with the hyperlink paths to update. Click "Open with Microsoft PowerPoint" from the context menu. The presentation opens in the PowerPoint application.

      Click the "Insert" tab on the top of the navigation ribbon. The "Hyperlinks" option is visible on the navigation ribbon.

      Right-click on the hyperlink with the path to update.

      Click "Hyperlink" from the context menu. The "Hyperlink" window launches.

      Type a new path in the bottom input box and click "OK."
