1
Look under the sink for the hot and cold shutoff valves to which the water supply hoses are attached. Turn the knobs or handles on the shutoffs clockwise until they stop. If there are no shutoffs under the sink, turn off the water supply to the faucet by using the main water shutoff for the house.
-
2
Locate the set screw at the base of the handle on the Moen series 2100 faucet. The set screw is a small Allen screw that is at the back of the handle.

-
3
Spray the set screw with a penetrating catalyst, especially if the faucet has been in service for many years. Let the catalyst soak in for a few minutes, which will make the screw easier to remove.
-
4
Select the proper size Allen wrench from a set. Turn the set screw counterclockwise using the wrench until it is removed.
-
5
Grasp the handle firmly and pull it straight off the rest of the faucet. You may have to move the handle back and forth to break it free before it can be removed.
