When you create a profile on LinkedIn you are creating a short version of your resume, showing your skills, past jobs, and other business ventures. Instructions

1. Open your web browser and navigate to LinkedIn, www.linkedin.com.

2. In the top navigation under the heading 'Profile' select 'Edit Profile'.

3. Edit the 'Summary' section by adding a short paragraph or two about your overall skills, experience, and any general aspects of your professional life. You also need to fill in some specifics under the sub-heading 'Specialities' for profile completion.

4. Edit the 'Experience' section by adding at least one current job function you participate in, and at least two other postions you previously held.

5. Edit the 'Education' section by adding any education you have completed or are in the process of completing.

6. Under the heading 'Recommendations' you need to ask for recommendations from work colleagues who are also on LinkedIn. You will need to receive at least three recommendations to complete your profile.

7. Finally, in the photo section you need to upload a small photo of yourself. When you've achieved all these steps, your profile should be at 100% completion.
