Count out 10 sheets of standard 8 1/2-by-11 inch printer paper and fan through the pages to make sure the pages aren't stuck together. If multiple pages are pulled into the printer a paper jam can result.

Insert the paper into the document feeder on top of your Brother MFC-240C printer. Push the paper stack in all the way until it won't go any further.
