How to Fold a Nurse's Hat Out of Material
A nurse's hat consists of fabric that is folded into a cap with a long rectangle brim. The hat is attached to the nurse's hair with bobby pins. A nurse's hat can be folded and worn to complete a nurse's uniform for a Halloween costume. You can fold your own nurse's hat out of paper or craft foam sheets and then decorate it with colored markers to make it look more official.

- 8.5-inch by 11-inch white paper or thin white craft foam sheet
- Red or blue marker
- Ruler
- Two bobby pins

Fold the paper or thin white craft foam sheet in half, horizontally to create a rectangle. Draw a line with the red or blue marker across the top of the paper, 1/2 an inch down from the top edge of the open sides of the paper, not the folded edge.

Turn the paper or foam sheet over, with the folded edge on the bottom. Measure 2 1/2 inches in from the short end and make a small mark on the folded edge to use as a guide. Repeat on the other short end of the rectangle.

Diagonally fold the ends of the rectangle on the mark you made by bringing the bottom corner up to the top edge and over it to sit above the open edge of the rectangle. Do the same on the other side. Use a bobby pin to attach the back of the folded ends to your hair.
