How to Do a Kinky Twist With a Rod

A natural hair style that can match kinky curly coiled hair is the kinky twist style. The kinky twist style is when twists are made throughout your hair. You can twist your natural kinky hair or you can add kinky hair weave to your natural hair to get the same look. The tips of your kinky twists can be curled with hair rods.

Things You'll Need

• Kinky hair weave
• Scissors
• Hair rod
• Hot water
• Towel
• Small container

Instructions

1. Take a section of your hair weave and divide it into two sections. From the middle of each section, cross one section over the other, like a cross. Join the bottom sections together and do the same for the top sections. You should have two sections.

2. Use your fingers to split one of the sections, so that you can have three sections.

3. Make square-shaped parts with a comb for each kinky twist that will be made. Use your fingers to join your natural hair with the middle hair weave section. Hold your hair tightly when joining it with the hair weave.

4. Put the right section under the middle section and then over the left section. Continue this step six times.

5. Take the three sections of hair weave blended with your hair and split it into two sections. Put one hair section over the next hair section; continue this till your reach the tip of your hair weave section.

6. Repeat steps one to six for your entire head. At the end of this process you'll have kinky twists all over.

7. Place a hair rod at the tip of four to five kinky twists.Wrap the kinky twist tips around the rod and roll it upward four to five times.

8. Put the rod cap that is attached to a rubber band on the top of the of the hair rod.

9. Pour some hot water in a container and carefully bend your head forward or backward to dip your kinky tips into the hot water.

10. Leave your tips in for five minutes.

11. Remove your tips from the hot water and carefully use your towel to squeeze excess water out of your hair. Take down your hair rods after 15 to 30 minutes.
