How to Customize Your Own Scrub Top
Scrub tops come in a variety of colors and patterns. Usually they are worn for work in health field positions such as nurses, physician assistants, and the dental field. Because everyone in the office is usually wearing scrubs, it's nice to find ways to customize yours to express your individuality. Adding your name is a good first step. Doing this will accent your scrub top without being garish. Even adding a small flower, butterfly or tiny crystals would not be out of line. Always check first with the office manager to see if customized scrubs are acceptable at your particular office.

- Scrub tops
- Iron-on letters
- Fabric markers or puff paint
- Iron
- Lace edging
- Needles
- Embroidery thread

Lay out your scrub tops on a well-lighted, flat surface. Place iron-on designs nearby. Plug in the iron and use it to transfer the iron-on patterns to the shirt, following the directions included with the patterns.

Use the fabric markers or puff paint to write your name above the pocket. Write small so that it looks nice. Let the marker or puff paint dry before wearing. Use tiny crystals to create your name if you do not like the look of puff paint.

Use edging material such as lace or beading to decorate your scrub top.

Use colorful embroidery thread to stitch tiny medical symbols or sayings.
