How to Reinstall Flash for Mac
Adobe's Flash plug-in allows you to view dynamic content on your Mac's Web browsers. If videos or animation are not running on websites while you are browsing the Internet, it may be helpful to reinstall Adobe Flash. To reinstall the plug-in, you must first uninstall it using Adobe's Flash Player Uninstaller.

Uninstall Adobe Flash Player

Go online to the Adobe Web Players page (adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates) and click "Flash Player Uninstaller" in the Mac OS X box.

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the Flash Player Uninstaller DMG file. The program mounts to your computer and displays the drive window.

Double-click "Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller" in the drive window. Click "Open" to confirm you want to open the file.

Click "Uninstall" to begin the application's routine. The uninstaller prompts you to close your Web browser if it is open. Click the Web browser in the window and click "Retry." Click "Done" when the process is complete.
Reinstall Adobe Flash Player

Launch your Web browser and go to the Adobe Flash Player download page (get.adobe.com/flashplayer).

Click "Download the Latest Version of Flash Player." The Adobe site reads your Web browser and links you to the correct iteration of the software.

Click "Agree and Install Now" to download the Adobe Flash Player DMG file.

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the downloaded DMG file. The Adobe Flash Player installer mounts to your computer.

Double-click "Install Adobe Flash Player" in the drive window. Click "Open" to confirm you want to run the installer.

Click "Install" in the Adobe Flash Player Installer window. The installer prompts you to close your open Web browser. Click the Web browser shown in the window and click "Retry."
