1
Visit the "Create my Cookbook" website (see Resources), and read the overview on the homepage. Review the steps in sequence so that you can develop a full understanding of the publication process and the tools required to create your cookbook.
-
2
Go to the "Create a Cookbook" tab at the top of the page and register for a free account. Provide your full name, email address and password. Check your inbox for a confirmation email, and log in to the website to begin creating your cookbook.
-

3
Select a name for your cookbook. Choose an imaginative title you will be happy to use throughout the publication process. Remember that the name you select will appear on the cover and title pages of your cookbook later, so choosing an appropriate title at this stage is essential. Fill in the title field with your preferred cookbook name, and click on the "Next" button to open the following page.
-
4
Select a default style of book from the choices available. Choose a spiral-bound copy that is resistant to stains and spills if you are looking for a cheap publication, but opt for a hardback alternative if you want your cookbook to maintain a truly professional edge. Make your choice using one of the radio buttons provided before clicking on the "Next" button again.
-
5
Choose whether you would like your cookbook to be part of a group project or an individual publication. Use the group-project option if you wish to import recipes left on the website by other contributors, but use the individual-cookbook button if you are working by yourself. Click the "Create New Book" button to begin adding recipes to your publication.
-
6
Wait for the designer page to load. Import photographs of your favorite dishes from your hard drive, and paste in the relevant text so that readers have a simple-to-follow guide that helps them recreate your own creations with ease. Take time to proofread all imported material carefully, as mistakes cannot be rectified once the book has been published. Add as many recipes as you like until your cookbook has been completed.
-
7
Click on the "Prepare for Publishing" button to see a preview of your finished cookbook. Proofread the information provided for a second time to ensure the publication is completely error-free before selecting the number of copies you would like to have published. Have your credit card details available when the website takes you to the payment page, and provide personal details so that copies of your cookbook can be delivered to the correct address.
