"Final Fantasy XI": How to Get on the Bahamut Server
"Final Fantasy XI" is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that takes place in the world of Vana'diel. The game lets you play with people from all over the globe as you battle adversaries, collect treasure and explore. The game has many different servers, including Bahamut, that you can play on. Registered players can transfer all of their characters to the Bahamut server, and new players can choose to play on the server when registering their accounts.

Start your PlayOnline Viewer and log into your PlayOnline account.

Click on the "Service & Support" tab at the PlayOnline "Main" menu. Click on the "Membership" tab, once you are in the Service & Support section.

Click "Purchase Optional Services" from the drop-down menu. Select "World Transfer" from the "Optional Services" menu and press the "Next" button. The World Transfer service lets you transfer up to 16 different characters, along with all of their jobs, skills and items, to different servers for a one-time fee of $25.

Read through the agreement and click on the "Agree" box and then press the "Next" button.

Select the characters you would like to transfer over to Bahamut. Press the "Next" button after you have confirmed your characters.

Review the World Transfer information on the next screen. Select "Purchase" to complete the World Transfer. The $25 fee will be billed to the credit or debit card you registered with PlayOnline.

Talk to a friend playing on the Bahamut server and ask them to purchase you a Gold World Pass. The Gold World Pass costs 1,000 gil and lets you join the Bahamut server. It also gives you and your friend special items, depending on how many days you keep your account active. You can only use Gold World Passes with the creation of new characters.

Post a request on a "Final Fantasy XI" forum asking for a Gold World Pass. Most people will be happy to purchase a Gold World Pass for you, provided you pay them back for the purchase of the pass.

Select "Bahamut" from the list of available worlds when you are creating your new character. This is the cheapest and easiest way to join the Bahamut server, but it does not give you any special items, such as the Gold World Pass.
