How to Untag a Photo of Me on Someone Else's Profile

Tagging is an innovative method of sharing photos, especially group photos with friends, relatives and colleagues. When you tag a friend on a social networking website, such as Facebook, the website generates a message that tells the person that you have tagged him in a photo. The website also saves a link to this photo in the photo album of the person you tagged. While tagging can be real fun, some people don't like to get the attention of others and wish to untag themselves from these photos.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to the social networking website on which you have been tagged.

    • 2

Open the "Photo" album and click the link of the photo in which you have been tagged. This will open the photo in a new window.

    • 3

Look for your name in the list of people who have been tagged in the photo. You can find this list just below the photo.

    • 4

Click your name and then select the option "remove tag" to untag yourself from this photo.
