How to Reset an iPad to Default


The iPad includes countless customization options, such as the the capability to download applications, alter device settings and customize the Home screen. With up to 64GB of storage, the iPad can store your vast media collection. The iPad also has you covered if you wish to simultaneously get rid of all of this data. Your device includes a reset option in the Settings application, which restores the iPad to its default settings.

  • Turn on your iPad.

  • Touch the "Settings" icon to open it.

  • Tap "General."

  • Tap the "Reset" option.

  • Tap the "Erase All Content and Settings" option. A warning message appears.

  • Tap the red "Erase iPad" option. Your iPad restores to its factory settings. The process can last several hours, depending on the amount of data stored on the device.
