How to Make a Flash Video From MP3 Audio

Turn your MP3 into a Flash file so that you can play it on Flash-supporting websites.

Flash videos can be found in the file .flv or .swf. The .flv extension describes Flash project files while .swf describes videos and interactive files created using Flash. While .flv videos can be edited further, .swf cannot be altered. If you wish to turn your MP3 into a Flash file you have two main options. You can either convert the file using a file conversion program or embed the MP3 in a Flash file.

Instructions

Convert

1. Download an MP3 to FLV conversion program from the internet (see Resources).

2. Install the program by following the instructions of the prompt. Double-click on the icon of the program to open it.

3. Click on the "Add" icon or button. Highlight the MP3 file in the pop-up window and press "OK."

4. Click on the "Profile" or "File Type" drop-down menu and select "FLV" or "SWF."

5. Press the button that reads "Convert." This creates a Flash file of the MP3.

Adding MP3 to Flash

1. Open Flash by double-clicking on its icon.

2. Click on the "File" menu and scroll to "New." Right-click on the timeline and scroll to "Insert Blank KeyFrame." Click on this KeyFrame.

3. Open the "File" menu and scroll to "Import" then "Import to Library." Look through the pop-up window to locate the MP3 file. Highlight it and press "OK."

4. Click on the file in the Library and drag it onto the layer in the timeline.

5. Add any desired video to the file. Save the file by clicking on the "File" menu and scrolling to "Save."
