Open your phone's Web browser and go to gmail.com. You can do this on any phone that has Internet access.

Download the Gmail for Mobile app on your Android, BlackBerry or Nokia S60 phone. Enter your Gmail account information. The app will sync your account.

Download the Google Sync app on your iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows or Nokia S60 phone. Enter your Google account information and your Google account, including Gmail, will sync with your phone.

Follow the directions of your phone manufacturer to set up an IMAP email account on your phone, if available on your phone. IMAP is a protocol for sending email over the Internet. You will need your Gmail account and password.
