How to Join Other Games in Demon Souls
"Demons Souls," a PlayStation 3 role-playing game, features two ways to join another person's game: as a friendly player or as an enemy. Joining a game as a friendly player requires the "Blue Eye Stone," available once you have defeated World 1-1. Joining a game as an enemy requires you to have a "Black Eye Stone," which is given to you the first time you kill a black phantom in any world. To use these stones, you must first be in soul form, which requires you to die while you are in body form. A broadband Internet connection is required to join others' games, as only online play is supported.

Tips & Warnings
The stones are reusable and will never be erased from your inventory once you have acquired them. Each stone can be used at the beginning of the level or in pre-determined spots throughout the level. If the stone is equipped, it will glow when it can be used.
Dying while you are an invader causes you to lose half of your acquired souls. However, if you win, you are granted your body form upon re-entering your world.
