How to Get Skype on Your EVO

Skype is an application that allows you to make calls to other Skype users and landline phones. The application utilizes your Internet connection to make the calls. As an EVO user, you can download and install Skype on your phone. Using Skype on your EVO may help you to conserve minutes if your mobile plan includes a limited number of minutes. Skype calls are made using your data or Wi-Fi connection on the EVO.

Instructions

1. Tap the "Market" icon on the EVO's home screen and then tap the "Search" icon.

2. Type "Skype" in the search field and tap the "Search" icon.

3. Review the search results and tap the "Skype" application.

4. Tap the "Install" button and then tap "OK" to accept the permissions for the application. The application will be downloaded to your EVO. An icon for Skype will be added to your phone's expanded home screen.
