How to Back Up My Kindle Book Collection to PDF Format
If you have a Kindle, you might have books in your collection in several file formats as the Kindle recognizes .azw, .mobi, .rtf, .pdf, .html, .txt and .doc. Books downloaded from Amazon come in the .azw format. Many of them have digital rights management and you cannot legally convert them to PDF for backup. However, you can use Calibre to back up any other book in your Kindle collection.
