1
Spray the front of your hair to wet it. Comb through it with the comb, gently removing tangles as you go.
-
2
Carve out a pie-shaped parting in your bang area. Align the points at the base of the triangle with the arches of your brows. Keep the point of the parting no more than 2 inches from your front hairline.
-
-
3
Clip the hair on the outside of the parting out of your way with the hair clips.
-
4
Comb your bangs to the side you want to wear them and determine the length you want. Use landmarks on your face, such as your cheek, eye or eyebrow to gauge the length you want.
-
5
Clamp your bangs between the first two fingers of your left hand. Angle your fingers down toward the outside of your face. Cut your hair along this line so that your bangs gradually get longer as they get closer to the rest of your hair.
-
6
Pull your bangs straight up from your scalp and remove 1 inch of hair from the ends to lightly layer your bangs.

Tips & Warnings
If your bangs were cut too thick or wide across before, let some of them grow out. You don't have to keep cutting hair that was cut short by mistake.
Do not cut your bangs straight across. Cut them at an angle to keep them from looking like school-girl bangs.
