Unhide Posts

Many people have recently complained about a decrease of posts appearing in their Facebook newsfeeds. It's possible that you yourself may have hidden too many of your friends and pages in an effort to keep your timeline uncluttered. But it also could be that Facebook has hidden them from you automatically. Here's how to fix the problem and get those hidden posts to reappear in your timeline.

Instructions

  1. Unhiding Individual Posts

    • 1

Find the recently hidden item in your Facebook newsfeed.

    • 2

Click the "Undo" button that appears in the slot where the story previously appeared. This will cause the story to become unhidden.

    • 3

If the "Undo" button does not appear in your newsfeed, visit the profile page of the person or company who posted the story. Although you will still be able to see the story, you will not be able to place it back into your feed.

Unhiding Posts from Certain Friends or Pages

    • 4

Click the "Most Recent" button at the top of your Facebook newsfeed. You may need to click the button twice. A drop-down menu should now appear.

    • 5

Choose "Edit Options" at the bottom of the drop-down menu. This will reveal a list of friends and pages that you have previously hidden from appearing in your newsfeed.

    • 6

Click the "X" next to the name of each person you wish to unhide.

    • 7

Hit the "Save" button. The posts from these users will now appear in your timeline.

Tips & Warnings

  • Another reason you aren't seeing as many posts is that Facebook could be only showing you the posts from the friends and pages with whom you interact most often. To see everyone's posts, choose the "All of your friends and pages" option in the drop-down menu located in the "Edit Options" box.
