How to Make a Cute Bulletin Board

Creating an engaging and attractive bulletin board serves the dual purpose of decorating your space and allowing you to share information with others. Instructions

1. Cover the board in colorful print fabric. Using fabric, instead of paper, means that you can create a texturally interesting surface where you can staple things again and again without leaving behind holes as you would with a paper-covered board.

2. Decorate the border of the board. Use a pre-made bulletin board border to rim your board or create your own, cutting a rectangular or scalloped border to go around the edge.

3. Add your message with pre-cut letters. Purchase or make letters in colors that contrast with your backing. Use an Ellison dye cut machine or a similar cutting tool to cut these letters easily and precisely.

4. Place pictures on the board. Choose photographic pictures to illustrate the theme of your board, or use clip-art images to add excitement.

5. Add lightweight, 3-D objects. Attach styrofoam shapes or cardboard cutouts that protrude from the board, adding depth to your board decorations and giving the board more appeal.
