Printing envelopes not only saves you from having to address them by hand but also gives your envelopes a more professional look. With Microsoft Word, a word processing program installed on most PCs, you have the ability to load blank envelopes into the printer tray, edit the information through the program and print your envelopes one at a time or in bulk with the destination and return address.

Instructions

  1. Print With Microsoft Word 2003

    • 1

      Launch Microsoft Word and click on "Letters and Mailings" from the "Tools" menu.

      Click on "Envelopes and Labels," then the "Envelopes" tab.

      Enter the delivery address in the "Delivery Address" box and the return address in the "Return Address" box.

      Click "Options," "Envelope Options" and select "Custom Size" from the drop-down menu. Type in 6" under width and 9" under length, then click "OK" twice.

      Insert a blank envelope into the printer tray as shown under "Feed" and click on "Print."

    Print With Microsoft Word 2007

      Launch Microsoft Word and click on the "Mailings" tab located in the toolbar. Click on "Envelopes."

      Type your delivery and return addresses in the appropriate boxes. Click on the "Omit" box if you do not wish to print out a return address. This is helpful if you have custom-made return address labels you would like to use.

      Click "Options," then "Envelope Options." On the drop-down menu, select "Custom Size" and type in 6" for the width and 9" for the length. Click "OK" twice.

      Insert a blank envelope into the printer tray as shown under "Feed" and click on "Print."
