Photoshop eye makeup onto a picture and put your best face forward.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Photoshop, pull down the "File" menu and click "Open." Browse to the photo you wish to alter, then double-click the file name.

    • 2

Click the "Magnify" tool on the bottom of the "Tools" pane and zoom in on one eye.

    • 3

Click the "Lasso" tool on the "Tools" pane. Draw an outline around the top eyelid, trying to avoid eyelashes or any part of the eye itself. Blinking lines appear around the selected area.

    • 4

Pull down the "Image" menu and select "Adjustments." Click "Hue/Saturation." Slide the "Hue" bar to the left or right to add eye shadow to the eyelid. Write down the number in the "Hue" box and click the "OK" button.

    • 5

Repeat the "Lasso" and "Hue/Saturation" window process on the other eyelid, but instead of sliding, type the number into the "Hue" box so the shadow will be the same color on each eye.

    • 6

Click the top-left box in the "Color Picker" on the bottom of the "Tools" pane. Select your preferred paint color to use for eye liner. Click "OK."

    • 7

Click the "Brush" tool, which looks like a paintbrush on the "Tools" pane. Pull down the unmarked brush head menu -- the second from the left on the toolbar at the top of the working area. Slide the "Size" bar to "1."

    • 8

Zoom in if necessary to get one eye sized in the middle of the working area. Click and drag the cursor around the rims of the upper and lower eyelid to add eye liner. If desired, extend the liner past where the outer lids meet for a cat's eye look. Repeat on the other eye.

    • 9

Click the "File" menu. Click "Save As." Type a new name for the made-over picture in case you want to start again with the original, then click the "Save" button.
