Verify that the printer ink is ejecting correctly by cleaning the print head. If an ink color is not ejecting correctly, the printout may appear blurred or contain incorrect colors. Ensure that the printer is turned on. Click your computer's Start Menu. Select Settings and then Printers. Right-click the printer icon. Select Properties and then Printing Preferences. Click the Maintenance tab and the Cleaning icon. Select the ink nozzles to be cleaned, and the Execute button.

Remove a paper jam if the printer fails to feed correctly. Pull the paper slowly out of the sheet feeder or output slot; be careful not to tear the paper. Press the Power button twice to automatically eject the paper if you cannot pull the paper out. If the paper tears while you are removing it, open the front printer cover to access the pieces. Once all paper is removed, close the printer cover. Reload new paper into the printer loading tray and press the Resume/Cancel button.

Turn the printer off and let it cool for about 15 minutes if it stops printing in the middle of a print job. The print head can sometimes overheat when continuously printing large documents. Avoid touching the interior of the printer if it overheats, as these components can become very hot.
