How to Mix Pistachio Pudding Into Cake Batter
California produces more than 300 million pounds of pistachios every year. The nutty, smooth flavor of this oval-shaped nut is good for cookies, cakes and even candies. To make a pistachio cake at home, add a pre-packaged mix to a plain white or yellow cake batter. Blending the powder mix and the batter together evenly will distribute the product and the taste, making a delicate confection. Things You'll Need
- White or yellow cake mix
- Mixing bowl
- Instant pistachio pudding mix
- Wire whisk
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of water
- Wooden spoon
- 4 eggs
- Green food coloring
- Hand held mixer

Dump the cake mix in a large mixing bowl. Add the powder pudding mix to the bowl blending the two dry mixes together with a wire whisk.

Add the oil, water and milk to the bowl mixing them into the cake/pudding mix with a wooden spoon. Break the eggs and add them one at a time to the bowl. Mix well after each egg.

Top off the cake/pudding mix with three to four drops of green food coloring. Mix well with a hand held cake mixer.

Pour the cake batter into well greased baking dishes.

Tips & Warnings
Add 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract to the cake batter for a sweeter flavor.
Top the finished cake with powdered sugar.
