To make a pistachio cake at home, add a pre-packaged mix to a plain white or yellow cake batter. Blending the powder mix and the batter together evenly will distribute the product and the taste, making a delicate confection. Things You'll Need

  • White or yellow cake mix
  • Mixing bowl
  • Instant pistachio pudding mix
  • Wire whisk
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Wooden spoon
  • 4 eggs
  • Green food coloring
  • Hand held mixer

Instructions

      Dump the cake mix in a large mixing bowl. Add the powder pudding mix to the bowl blending the two dry mixes together with a wire whisk.

      Add the oil, water and milk to the bowl mixing them into the cake/pudding mix with a wooden spoon. Break the eggs and add them one at a time to the bowl. Mix well after each egg.

      Top off the cake/pudding mix with three to four drops of green food coloring. Mix well with a hand held cake mixer.

      Pour the cake batter into well greased baking dishes.

Tips & Warnings
