How to Remove Files in My Recent Document Folder in Windows XP
Windows XP and other Windows operating systems provide many features that help a computer user to keep track of his activities while online. In Windows XP this feature is called My Recent Documents. It is a list of all the names of documents, files or folders recently assessed. This includes documents written, saved or modified in the last few days or weeks. Removing these recent documents is easy to do.

Right-click the "Start" menu at the bottom of the desktop. A drop-down menu appears.

Click "Properties" from the menu.

Click "Customize" A new window opens.

Click the "Advanced" tab at top of window.

Look for "Recent documents' on the Advanced page. Click "Clear List:."

Click the "OK" button. The files disappear.

Click the "OK' button to close window.
