How to Chat on "Starcraft 2"

Save

Blizzard's "Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty" game includes a built-in chat feature that allows you to communicate with other people playing the game. You can talk in chat rooms or speak with users privately. In addition, if you have any friends who use Blizzard's RealID system, you can chat with them when they play certain other Blizzard games, such as "World of Warcraft" and "Diablo 3."

  • Press Enter at any point in the game to open a chat box.

  • Type "/join" followed by the chat room you wish to join. Alternatively, you can type "/w" followed by the user you wish to chat with privately. In either case, press Enter.

  • Type in what you want to say in the chat room or to the other user in the chat box.

  • Press Enter to send the chat comment. When the person responds, it will appear on your screen.

  • Press Enter again to open the chat box and respond, if desired.
