How to Remove eBooks From the iPod Touch

Apple developed its iBook app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. IBook is a book reader, like the Kindle app, but it takes advantage of the iPod touch's graphics capabilities. You can download ebooks from Apple's iTunes App Store, and the iPod touch's Wi-Fi connection also lets you download books directly. You can remove books the same way: through syncing your IPod touch with iTunes or the iPod touch itself.

From iTunes

  • Open iTunes.

  • Plug your iPod touch into one of your computer's open USB ports.

  • Click on your iPod touch in the iTunes "Devices" list to open your iPod touch window.

  • Click the "Books" tab.

  • Remove the check box next to any books you want to remove from your iPod touch.

  • Click the "Apply" button to sync your iPod touch.

  • Click the "Eject" button next to your iPod touch in the "Devices" list.

  • Unplug your iPod touch.

From the iPod touch

  • Open the iBooks app to view your bookshelf.

  • Click the "Edit" button.

  • Click the book you want to delete. The book will have a white overlay with a check on it.

  • Click the "Delete" button.

  • Confirm you want to delete the book.
