How Do You Move Objects in "The Sims 3" on an iPod Touch?

"The Sims 3," available for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, is a scaled down version of "The Sims 3" for the PC. Many of the features found on the PC version of "The Sims 3" can be found here: creating a Sim, getting a job, making friends, and renovating your house. In "The Sims 3" for the iPod touch, the furniture you buy can be moved around to predetermined spots in your house through the "Build" menu.

Instructions

      Tap the "Build" icon, located in the bottom-left corner of the screen. The picture on the icon is that of a chair and a lamp.

      Tap "Move or Sell Furniture."

      Tap the object that you want to move.

    • 4

      Tap "Move" on the object menu to move the object to a new destination.

    • 5

      Tap on any of the green, glowing squares to move the object to that location. An object can only be moved to a green square.

    • 6

      Tap the "X" in the top-left corner to exit "Build" mode once you are finished moving your object.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tap "Rotate" on the object menu to rotate your item 90 degrees.
