How to Repair a Silverlight Installation


When NetFlix decided they wanted to stream movies right to your computer, they needed a program capable of handling the process. NetFlix decided to use Microsoft's Silverlight as their only delivery method. Unfortunately, if Microsoft Silverlight isn't working on your computer, you'll be unable to watch any movies on Netflix. To fix Silverlight, you'll need to do a traditional program repair. If you're unable to complete the repair, you'll need to uninstall then reinstall Silverlight.

  • Click "Start," then "Control Panel".

  • Click "Uninstall Program," found underneath the "Programs" heading.

  • Right-click on Microsoft Silverlight and select "Repair". If the repair option is unavailable, you'll need to uninstall Silverlight (by clicking "Uninstall") then reinstall it. You can download Microsoft Silverlight at
